Frequently Asked Questions

How can STARS help me?

We are dedicated to working closely with you to understand your specific skills and goals. Our approach involves tailoring support sessions that revolve around engaging activities, meaningful discussions, and practical tasks. These sessions are designed to provide you with ample opportunities to practice and enhance your skills, while also helping to break down your larger goals into smaller, more achievable milestones. By focusing on these smaller pieces, we can ensure that you make steady progress towards your ultimate objectives. Whether it is honing a particular skill or accomplishing a specific goal, our collaborative efforts will assist you in reaching your desired outcomes.

Where will we meet?

We offer both virtual and in-person meetings. We find it beneficial to complete the majority of our sessions virtually, with the addition of two to three in-person meetings for more personalized support in achieving your goals.

Virtual meetings are held over Zoom while in-person meetings can take place in a variety of places, such as a local coffee shop, library or if the weather is nice, outside. We tailor our meeting location to you and what you are most comfortable with.

Where will we meet?

We recommend meeting for one to two hours a week to ensure that there is ample time to process and implement any action steps discussed during our sessions. This is flexible and tailored to your needs, preferences and schedule.

Our sessions will continue until you have achieved your goal(s), feel confident in your skills, or determine you no longer require our support.

I'm running late for a session - what do I do?

If you are going to be late, please let us know as soon as possible. You can send us an email, use the "Contact Us" button or leave us a voicemail.

If we have not heard from you and you're more than 15 minutes late, the session will be cancelled and you will be billed for your session. This applies to both in-person and virtual support sessions. If you are late for a session, you will still be charged for the full session and additional time will not be provided.

How do I cancel or reschedule a session?

If you need to cancel a session, you can do so through email, using the "Contact Us" button, letting us know during one of our sessions or through voicemail at any time.

If you miss or cancel a support session with less than 12 hour notice, you will need to pay 50% of the session cost. We understand that some times things happen beyond our control - things like family emergencies, illness and dangerous weather. In these situations, we will not charge the 50% fee for cancelling less than 12 hours before your session.
